INHIBITED PROPYLENE GLYCOL (IPG)

Description

IPG is a hybrid organic acid / propylene glycol – based antifreeze concentrate for use in those cooling systems where the use of ethylene glycol is not desirable (eg food processing, etc.)

IPG is an amine, nitrite, phosphate and silicate – free formulation which contains inhibitors to reduce the corrosion of steel, cast iron, aluminium alloy, brass, copper and solder.

IPG should be blended with clean good quality water to suit the cooling system requirements, as outlined in the table below :

IPG is not classified as hazardous and is biodegradable. IPG should be blended with clean good quality water to suit the cooling system requirements, as outlined in the table below :

IPG concentration in the system may be monitored by measuring the refractive index of the coolant, and topped up as required. Suitable biocides may be added to preserve the coolant if needed. To avoid possible incompatibility problems, do not mix with other coolant formulations.

Safety

IPG is not classified as hazardous. Read Material Safety Data Sheet before use. Keep out of reach of children.
